Dove's The Far Theatricals Of The Day In London

Thursday 22 March 2018

On Thursday 22 March at St Bride's Church Fleet Street, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Jonathan Dove’s The Far Theatricals of Day, commissioned by JAM, which sets the beautiful poetry of Emily Dickinson. This effervescent piece covers the arch of a day, from dawn to midnight, and is written for choir, brass and organ and four soloists. The London premiere of Tom Harrold's poignant Voices of Vimy joins this celebration of new music performed by The Chapel Choir of Selwyn College (Cambridge), Onyx Brass and Simon Hogan (organ), conducted by Michael Bawtree.

Visit the JAM website for more full details about the concert and tickets
