Edition Peters launches enriched digital editions on the Tido Music iPad app
We are proud to announce the launch of our first collection of Piano Masterworks, digitally-enriched editions of core piano repertoire available on the ground-breaking Tido Music app. Discover, learn and explore an ever-expanding library of high-quality interactive scores, video performances and masterclasses, studio recordings aligned to the notation, automatic page-turning, and exclusive expert commentaries. Other leading publishers will be adding editions to the app in early 2017.
'Tido Music is an innovative and interesting app, perfect for amateur pianists looking for a different way to practice, a portable music library, or a way to deepen their understanding of a wide range of music' BBC Music, 5* review, October 2016
We’re only working with the very best performers and music experts on this project and the app gives you access to hours of video masterclasses from an amazing range of artists. Choose from J.S. Bach with Joanna MacGregor, Head of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music; Chopin with Daniel Grimwood, concert pianist and EPAM Artist; Ravel with Roy Howat, one of the world’s leading experts on French music; or dive into the mesmerizingly beautiful world of John Cage with New York pianist Adam Tendler.
Tido would like to build this platform not just for users, but with them. If you are interested in sharing your opinions about the app's features and content, you could win a £50 Amazon or iTunes voucher. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up – they’d love to hear from you!
'This is something I’ve long dreamt of being able to do in music: to explore and explain pieces like living spaces in which we can move around as we learn how they sound and work. It’s a thrilling new app' Roy Howat
'If apps had been around when I was first learning the piano, I would definitely have wanted this one' Richard Uttley
