Composer: Richard Strauss
“Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.”
Strauss’ ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra’ continues to be very well used in synchronisations, after its first outing in Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. It has more recently been adapted for use in a new worldwide Samsung advertising campaign. Strauss's music had a profound influence on the development of music in the twentieth century, and none more profoundly than in film scores. Many of his symphonic tone poems have been studied for inspiration for large orchestral scores, but non can rival the brilliance and scale of such works as Don Juan, Ein Heldenleiben and Macbeth.
