News

The new year brought the release of Martin Scorsese’s new thriller Shutter Island for which we supplied two important tracks; John Cage’s Music for Marcel Duchamps and Lou Harrison’s Nocturne from ‘Suite For Symphonic Strings,’.The choice of music displayed a significant and positive departure from Scorsese’s regular choice of jukebox titles, and has contributed hugely to the unsettling and chilling atmosphere of the film, which starred Leonardio Di Caprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley. Taken as a whole this set of pieces certainly suggests a different mood rather than a conventional score.

And what better way to validate the diversity of our rapidly expanding catalogue than to have world renowned vocal act the ‘Swingle Singers’, contributing to the comedy in 2009 hilarious blockbuster Wedding Crashers, starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.
