The Nocturne Op. 27 No. 2 was issued in 2007 as part of the series Works by Chopin. Facsimile Edition. This publication, with the series no. A V/27/2, comprises two books: the facsimile of the autograph of the Nocturne in D-flat major, Op. 27 No. 2, and a scholarly commentary by Professor Mieczysaw Tomaszewski.

The only known Chopin manuscript of this work, it served as the Stichvorlage for the German first edition published by the Leipzig firm of Breitkopf & Härtel. Professor Tomaszewski's text appears in this volume in six languages: Polish, English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese. The manuscript is currently held at the Biblioteka Narodowa in Warsaw, under the shelf no. Mus. 218 Cim.
